Cooper Tire, Insurer Settle Defense Coverage Suit

Law360, New York (April 08, 2011, 6:39 PM ET) -- Cooper Tire & Rubber Co. settled a suit Thursday in Ohio against National Union Fire Insurance Co. of Pittsburgh, Pa., which alleged the insurer failed to reimburse the company for defense costs incurred in fighting an array of litigation.

A conference between Cooper and National Union held on Thursday resulted in the settlement, Judge Jack Zouhary of the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Ohio said in an order dismissing the case without prejudice. Terms of the settlement were undisclosed.
