Aviation Groups Barred From EPA Emissions Suit

Law360, New York (April 11, 2011, 4:13 PM ET) -- Aviation and aerospace organizations lost a bid Monday to intervene in a suit accusing the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency of delaying action on petitions over the dangers of greenhouse gas emissions from marine, air and other nonroad engines.

Judge Henry H. Kennedy Jr. of the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia said four organizations lacked standing because they failed to identify injuries that would be concrete, certainly impending and fairly traceable to a judgment in favor of the environmental groups suing the EPA....
