Law360, New York (April 12, 2011, 1:30 PM ET) -- Medical imaging equipment company Hologic Inc. filed a patent infringement, trade dress and unfair competition lawsuit Monday in Massachusetts against IZI Medical Products LLC over a breast cushion that reduces discomfort during mammograms.
Hologic's complaint, filed in the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts, says IZI's CareCushion product — which cushions the compression surfaces of a mammography machine — is "strikingly similar" to Hologic's MammoPad.
