Shipping Cos. To Pay $1M Over Pollution Charges

Law360, New York (April 12, 2011, 6:28 PM EDT) -- A shipping conglomerate on Tuesday copped to charges in Louisiana that one of its ships deliberately and illegally dumped oily waste, part of a plea deal that carries a $1 million fine and a five-year ban on domestic business.
