Judge Says Cordis Stent Infringes BSC Patent

Law360, New York (April 13, 2011, 4:05 PM EDT) -- A federal judge in Delaware on Wednesday granted summary judgment to Boston Scientific Corp. in its patent infringement suit against Johnson & Johnson unit Cordis Corp. over one of Cordis’ Cypher stents.

Judge Sue L. Robinson of the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware also denied Cordis’ motion to delay the start of a trial for damages and willfulness, and blocked its attempt to exclude a Boston Scientific expert.
