Ex-NFL Players Hit Union With New Licensing Action

Law360, New York (April 14, 2011, 12:51 PM EDT) -- A group of retired NFL players filed a class action Tuesday in California against the league's labor union, claiming it failed to pursue opportunities to license the players' images on their behalf.

The lawsuit was filed against the NFL Players Association in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California on behalf of a proposed class of retired NFL players who were not included in the settlement of a similar 2007 class action over the licensing rights of retired players.
