Caterpillar Offers Antitrust Fixes For $810M MWM Deal

Law360, New York (April 14, 2011, 6:36 PM EDT) -- The European Commission announced Tuesday that it had received proposed competition remedies to Caterpillar Inc.'s $810 million deal for German alternative energy engine maker MWM Holding GmbH.

The EU antitrust watchdog also announced it had extended the deadline to review the transaction to May 5. Details about the proposed antitrust remedies were not immediately available.

Caterpillar announced in October that it had inked an all-cash deal to acquire MWM from British investment firm 3i Group PLC.
