Wilson Slams Prince Over Tennis Net Patent

Law360, New York (April 15, 2011, 6:49 PM EDT) -- Wilson Sporting Goods Co. has slapped Prince Sports Inc. with a lawsuit accusing the athletic goods manufacturer of infringing a patent covering a support structure used in tennis nets.

The lawsuit, filed Thursday in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, claims that Bordentown, N.J.-based Prince Sports has manufactured and imported net support structures that fall within the scope of Wilson's U.S. Patent Number 5,816,956.
