Australia Hits US Biodiesel Cos. With Dumping Duties

Law360, New York (April 18, 2011, 10:08 PM EDT) -- Australia said Monday that it would hit U.S. biodiesel exporters with anti-dumping duties after a government probe found that imports of U.S.-subsidized batches of the fuel were hurting domestic biodiesel suppliers.

The Australian Customs and Border Protection Services levied the anti-dumping duties after finding that U.S. federal and state governments had funded 55 percent of U.S. biodiesel exporters' costs through tax and other incentive programs.
