Exec To Plead Guilty In $9M Navy Kickback Case

Law360, New York (April 18, 2011, 2:25 PM ET) -- The founder of technology services company Advanced Solutions for Tomorrow Inc. agreed Monday to plead guilty in Rhode Island federal court to bribery in a $9.2 million kickback scheme over U.S. Navy contracts.

Anjan Dutta-Gupta, 58, of Roswell, Ga., admitted to bribing Ralph Mariano, a civilian program manager with the Navy’s Naval Sea Systems Command, according to a plea agreement filed in the U.S. District Court for the District of Rhode Island. Mariano allegedly asked for kickbacks in exchange for protecting and expanding ASFT's Navy contracts....
