Specialty Products Attys Ripped For Stalling Ch. 11

Law360, New York (April 19, 2011, 7:52 PM EDT) -- A bankruptcy judge on Tuesday blasted all parties involved in Specialty Products Holdings Corp.’s Chapter 11 case in Delaware for allowing a discovery dispute to stall proceedings and delay payments to asbestos-injury claimants.

At a hearing in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware, Judge Judith K. Fitzgerald reiterated a previous threat to remove counsel for all the litigants and appoint a trustee in the case if they could not cooperate on Specialty Products’ discovery to help estimate its future asbestos liability.
