Zumba Fitness Steps Up IP Enforcement

Law360, New York (April 19, 2011, 2:32 PM EDT) -- Zumba Fitness LLC has launched a slew of infringement suits in California to combat the sale of counterfeit Zumba products, and the company said Tuesday that it plans to file more in the U.S. and the U.K.

Zumba Fitness, the creator of the Latin-inspired Zumba fitness-party workout, has lodged six complaints in the Central District of California since March, and the company announced Tuesday that it is preparing to continue its anti-piracy campaign with several more lawsuits.
