State Dept. Official Returns To Steptoe's DC Office

Law360, New York (April 20, 2011, 6:56 PM EDT) -- Former assistant secretary of state Richard Verma, the lead negotiator for the most recent set of sanctions against Iran, has rejoined the international and government affairs practice groups in Steptoe & Johnson LLP's Washington office, the firm announced in early April.

Verma was a partner at Steptoe before being nominated to the State Department post in 2009, where he was the principal adviser to Secretary of State Hillary Clinton on legislative affairs, the firm said April 7.
