Law360, New York (April 20, 2011, 2:10 PM ET) -- Virginia, Nevada, New Mexico and dozens of local governments and water districts hit J-M Manufacturing Co. Inc. with a lawsuit in California state court Tuesday accusing the company of widespread fraud in the manufacturing and sale of PVC pipe.
The suit asserts nine common law and statutory claims — including negligent misrepresentation to unjust enrichment — that a federal court overseeing the False Claims Act whistleblower suit of former J-M quality assurance engineer John Hendrix previously refused to hear, according to the complaint.
