Ariz. Restaurant Owners Nabbed In Tax, Workers Probe

Law360, New York (April 20, 2011, 9:20 PM EDT) -- The father-and-son owners of a Tempe, Ariz.-based Mexican restaurant chain and a company accountant were arrested Wednesday on charges of harboring undocumented immigrants and tax evasion, according to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

In an indictment filed April 14 and unsealed Wednesday, Mark Evenson, his son Christopher Evenson and company accountant Diane Strehlow are accused of underreporting and failing to pay at least $400,000 in Federal Insurance Contributions Act taxes.
