Ohio Pair Get 3 Years Each For $41M Visa Scheme

Law360, New York (April 21, 2011, 4:11 PM EDT) -- Two men were sentenced in Ohio federal court Wednesday to more than three years in prison apiece after pleading guilty to a $41 million scam that involved using a software company as a front to bring foreign workers into the U.S. illegally.

Fazal Mehmood and Viheet Maheshwari were also ordered by U.S. District Judge John Jarvey to forfeit more than $1 million they personally reaped from the fraud involving their company, Worldwide Software Services Inc.
