Law360, New York (April 21, 2011, 6:38 PM ET) -- Switzerland's highest court has refused to revive a 333 million Swiss franc ($376 million) fine against Swisscom AG for allegedly abusing its dominance in the cellphone termination fee market, the country's antitrust watchdog said Wednesday.
The decision, dated April 11 but announced Wednesday, brings an end to the Swiss Competition Commission's long-running efforts to sanction the company for violating the country's antitrust law by allegedly charging unfairly high rates to other phone operators to connect calls originating in their networks to Swisscom's customers.
