AstraZeneca, Pozen Sue Dr. Reddy's Over Vimovo Patent

Law360, New York (April 25, 2011, 11:49 AM ET) -- Pozen Inc. and AstraZeneca LP said Monday they had sued Dr. Reddy's Laboratories Ltd. in a New Jersey federal court to block the generic-drug maker from selling a version of arthritis drug Vimovo.

Dr. Reddy's notified AstraZeneca and Pozen in a March letter that it submitted an abbreviated new drug application to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration to market a generic version of Vimovo before the patent expires in 2023.
