Yahoo Buys TV Networking Co. IntoNow

Law360, New York (April 25, 2011, 3:46 PM EDT) -- Silicon Valley-based Yahoo Inc. on Monday announced the acquisition of TV networking startup IntoNow, which specializes in software that identifies programs and alerts online friends to what users are watching.

Yahoo expanded its social media capabilities, snapping up IntoNow just three months after the company launched its patented SoundPrint audio recognition technology that identifies programs and a companion app that allows viewers to tell online friends what TV shows they are watching.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
