Sprint Wants To See Confidential AT&T, T-Mobile Files

Law360, New York (April 26, 2011, 2:32 PM EDT) -- Sprint Nextel Corp., whose CEO has flatly said AT&T Inc.'s planned $39 billion acquisition of T-Mobile USA Inc. should not be permitted, asked the Federal Communications Commission on Monday for access to confidential documents filed in support of the megamerger.

Sprint's move came after AT&T told the FCC in a partially redacted filing geared toward protecting company secrets that the deal would promote, rather than harm, competition in the U.S. wireless market.
