Pharmacist Hits Omnicare With Meal Break Class Action

Law360, New York (April 26, 2011, 1:24 PM EDT) -- A former Omnicare Inc. pharmacist launched a putative class action in California state court on Friday accusing the long-term care pharmacy of denying its employees meal and rest breaks in violation of the state's wage laws.

Former pharmacist Michael Lastra's complaint further contends that Omnicare failed to pay its pharmacists overtime compensation, running afoul of the Fair Labor Standards Act and California state law.
