Enzo Expected To Net "Hundreds Of Millions" In Royalties From Digene Settlement

Law360, New York (October 22, 2004, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Enzo Life Sciences’ settlement of its patent-infringement lawsuit against rival Digene Corp. is expected to net the medical device maker several hundred million dollars, including royalty payments, according to Enzo’s attorneys.

As reported earlier this month, Digene, which markets a DNA-based test for cervical cancer, agreed to pay Enzo a minimum up-front settlement plus guaranteed royalty payments to end a patent-infringement suit over a method for detecting infectious viruses.
