Mo. Lt. Gov. Loses Health Care Reform Suit

Law360, New York (April 27, 2011, 3:39 PM EDT) -- A Missouri federal judge on Tuesday tossed a suit brought by the state's lieutenant governor and six other state residents challenging the constitutionality of health care reform, finding they lack standing and that their claims were premature or moot.

Originally filed in July, the lawsuit against several administration officials over alleged violations of the U.S. and Missouri constitutions was one of several across the country fighting the federal government's health care reform law.
