Dodd-Frank's Effect On Compensation Committees

Law360, New York (April 27, 2011, 3:37 PM ET) -- The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission recently proposed rules to implement the provisions of Section 952 of the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act of 2010, relating to the independence of compensation committee members of stock exchange-listed companies and the retention of advisers by those compensation committees. The proposed rules, in large part, defer various policy judgments to the stock exchanges.
