Sprint Asks FCC To Consolidate Reviews Of AT&T Deals

Law360, New York (April 27, 2011, 5:18 PM EDT) -- Sprint Nextel Corp. and other wireless providers asked the Federal Communications Commission on Wednesday to combine a review of AT&T Inc.'s proposal to buy T-Mobile USA Inc. with its plan to buy spectrum licenses from Qualcomm Inc.

Dallas-based AT&T announced in December its intent to pay $1.93 billion for 700 megahertz spectrum licenses from Qualcomm in an effort to boost its ability to deploy fourth-generation wireless service.
