Rajaratnam Jurors Can't See Transcripts, Judge Says

Law360, New York (April 27, 2011, 7:52 PM EDT) -- A New York federal judge on Wednesday said he was unwilling to give jurors transcripts of wiretap recordings used as evidence in the insider trading case against Raj Rajaratnam as they deliberate .

For the past two days, jurors have been weighing 14 counts against the Galleon Group LLC founder in what has been described as one of the largest insider trading cases in a generation. Wiretap recordings, a first for insider trading cases, have proved to be some of the government's strongest evidence.
