Law360, New York (April 28, 2011, 5:28 PM ET) -- Patton Boggs LLP filed a new suit against Chevron Corp. and Gibson Dunn & Crutcher LLP in Washington on Wednesday, in the parties’ feud over whether Patton can represent Ecuadorean plaintiffs suing the oil giant for alleged environmental degradation.
Patton is seeking judgment preserving its ability to represent the Ecuadorean clients, as well as damages for Chevron and Gibson Dunn’s alleged tortious interference with its business — claims that come less than two weeks after a judge dismissed a nearly identical suit filed by the firm....
