9th Circ. Reanimates 'Ghost Hunters' Contract Claims

Law360, New York (May 4, 2011, 7:03 PM EDT) -- The Ninth Circuit ruled en banc Wednesday that federal copyright law does not preempt state law contract claims if a plaintiff alleges a reciprocal expectation of compensation for his idea, reviving a parapsychologist's lawsuit over the TV show "Ghost Hunters."
