Law360, San Diego (May 06, 2011, 9:41 PM ET) -- The Council of the European Union on Thursday broadened anti-dumping and countervailing duties on U.S. biodiesel and extended them to imports from Canada, while terminating an investigation into imports from Singapore.
The council concluded that duties on imports of U.S. biodiesel were circumvented by transshipment through Canada and imposed an anti-dumping duty of €172.2 per metric ton and a countervailing duty of €237 per metric ton on Canadian importers.
