Subcontractor Exits Exxon Suit Over Faulty Nozzles

Law360, New York (May 9, 2011, 7:04 PM EDT) -- A subcontractor on Friday escaped Exxon Mobil Corp.'s Louisiana lawsuit over allegedly shoddy nozzles that disrupted operations at the second-largest refinery in the U.S. and resulted in environmental penalties for the oil giant.

Exxon launched the suit in Louisiana federal court after the May 2009 failure of a nozzle that was vital to removing particulate matter and sulphur dioxide from gasoline products.
