Law360, New York (May 09, 2011, 8:19 PM ET) -- Forest Laboratories Inc. said Monday it had received a subpoena from the U.S. attorney's office in Massachusetts seeking information related to hypertension treatment medications.
U.S. Attorney Carmen Ortiz’s office sent an April 20 subpoena to the New York-based company with requests to turn over documents involving its Benicar, Benicar HCT and Azor drugs, Forest said in a statement. Forest and Benicar’s originator, Daiichi Sankyo Inc., co-marketed the drug from 2002 through 2008.
“The company intends to cooperate in responding to the subpoena,” Forest said.
