Law360, New York (May 10, 2011, 9:12 PM ET) -- A Texas federal jury found for Yahoo Inc. in a Linux-related software patent infringement case Tuesday, an upset that follows a verdict against co-defendant Google Inc.
The jury said after 40 minutes of deliberation that Yahoo did not infringe a Linux storage patent held by Bedrock Computer Technologies LLC, Yahoo attorney Yar Chaikovsky of McDermott Will & Emery LLP confirmed. The verdict comes after a five-day trial.
"We got a fantastic result,” Chaikovsky said. “We're very happy.”
