Obama Nominates Reid Aide For CFTC Post

Law360, New York (May 11, 2011, 6:51 PM EDT) -- President Barack Obama on Wednesday nominated Mark Wetjen, an aide to Sen. Harry Reid, D-Nev., to become a commissioner on the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission.

Wetjen, currently Reid's counsel and senior policy adviser, would join the futures regulator as it begins to enact a myriad of regulations tied to the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act.
