US Nears Deal With Mexico On Cross-Border Trucking

Law360, New York (May 12, 2011, 6:23 PM ET) -- Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood reportedly announced Thursday that the U.S. government was close to a final agreement that would reopen the U.S. border to Mexican commercial trucks.

The deal would end a dispute between the two countries that has resulted in Mexico imposing tariffs on American goods as long as the U.S. keeps its roads off-limits to Mexican trucks.
