Toyota Alleges MDL Abuse With Calif. State Claims

Law360, Los Angeles (May 16, 2011, 11:08 PM ET) -- Toyota Motor Corp. told a California federal judge Monday that a motion by plaintiffs in multidistrict litigation over sudden acceleration defects in its cars was a tactic aimed at abusing the MDL process to wrongfully deprive the automaker of defenses.
