Hendrix Estate, Sax Player Settle 'Georgia Blues' Suit

Law360, New York (May 19, 2011, 4:57 PM EDT) -- The estate of rock legend Jimi Hendrix struck a deal Wednesday with saxophonist Lonnie Youngblood, ending a legal battle over ownership rights to the 1969 song "Georgia Blues," which the two musicians recorded together.

U.S. District Judge Dennis M. Cavanaugh issued an order of dismissal without costs or prejudice ending the year-old lawsuit, in which each side made claims over rights to the song.
