US Trade Rep Calls For New Approach To Doha Round

Law360, New York (May 19, 2011, 7:35 PM EDT) -- U.S. Trade Representative Ron Kirk expressed frustration Thursday over stalled progress on the decadelong Doha Development Round negotiations and called for a "hard-nosed" discussion of realistic next steps.

"I will be surprised if there is much argument on this point this morning — we are not in good shape," Kirk said at an Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation meeting in Big Sky, Mont.
