Attys For Ex-Intel Engineer Flee Trade Secrets Case

Law360, New York (May 20, 2011, 4:22 PM EDT) -- Attorneys for Biswamohan Pani, a former Intel Corp. engineer charged with passing on $1 billion worth of trade secrets to rival Advanced Micro Devices Inc., told a Massachusetts judge on Thursday that they could no longer represent their client because of an intractable communication breakdown.

Prosecutors indicted Pani in November 2008, a few months after he allegedly used his Intel-issued laptop to download 13 top secret documents before leaving the company, but while already on AMD's payroll.
