Nanya Seeks Noninfringement Declaration

Law360, New York (May 14, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Taiwan-based chip maker Nanya Technology Corp. has filed suit against rival NEC Corp. and U.S. electronics unit NEC Electronics Corp., seeking declaration of noninfringement of seven NEC patents.

In a complaint filed on Thursday in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas, Nanya and its U.S. subsidiary claimed that NEC had told its rival that it was infringing its patents and asked Nanya to pay royalties.
