Law360, New York (May 23, 2011, 9:32 PM ET) -- The U.S. Judicial Panel on Multidistrict Litigation on Monday opened a new MDL in Texas to consolidate suits over allegedly defective hip prosthetics made by Johnson & Johnson unit DePuy Orthopaedics Inc.
The new MDL consolidates in the Northern District of Texas all federal product liability and fraud suits that relate to DePuy's Pinnacle Acetabular Cup System hip implants.
