Hershey, Mars Bury Hatchet Over Packaging IP

Law360, New York (May 24, 2011, 5:33 PM ET) -- The Hershey Co. on Tuesday settled with Mars Inc. in disputes in Pennsylvania and Virginia over whether the packaging for Mars' peanut butter flavored Dove chocolates used an orange color trademarked by Hershey.

The companies filed joint stipulations of dismissal in the two suits: an infringement suit filed by Hershey against Mars in Pennsylvania, and a declaratory judgment suit by Mars against Hershey in Virginia.
