California Blames Govt. For Weak Fuel Standards

Law360, New York (May 14, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- California Attorney General Jerry Brown has warned that the federal government may have to shell out billions of dollars to save the U.S. auto industry from going under, saying the government has enabled the industry to waste enormous amounts of gas through inadequate federal fuel efficiency standards.
