Law360, New York (May 25, 2011, 5:28 PM EDT) -- You answer the phone and are greeted by a client who has just received a demand for payment of a “judgment” of tens of millions of dollars from someone the client has never heard of. You ask for basic details, like the venue of the judgment, the basis for the underlying claim and the name of the claimant’s law firm. None of those details can be gleaned. Instead, the client reads you a passage that can only be described as gibberish:
