AT&T, Apple, US Cellular Sued Over Videophone IP

Law360, New York (May 26, 2011, 4:05 PM EDT) -- Visual Interactive Phone Concepts Inc. filed three suits in Michigan on Wednesday accusing AT&T Inc., Apple Inc. and U.S. Cellular Corp. of infringing two patents covering an interactive mailbox facility system for videophones.

New York-based VIPC is seeking injunctive relief that would bar Apple, AT&T and U.S. Cellular from infringing the asserted patents, and all three complaints ask the judge for treble damages because of the defendants' allegedly "knowing, intentional and willful infringement."
