Exporter Admits To $1.3M FDA Fraud

Law360, New York (May 27, 2011, 3:43 PM EDT) -- The president of exporter Trade Trans Corp. pled guilty to fraud and agreed to forfeit $1.3 million in New York on Thursday for forging U.S. Food and Drug Administration documents for almost 600 shipments of dietary supplements and other goods.

Robert Antes pled guilty to one count of mail fraud and agreed to hand over the proceeds obtained through his falsification of FDA health and free-sale certificates in connection with 574 export shipments, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York....
