Verizon Settles IT Workers' Overtime Suit

Law360, San Diego (May 31, 2011, 6:00 PM EDT) -- Verizon Enterprise Delivery LLC agreed Thursday to pay $750,000 to resolve a California class action alleging the company’s on-call policy deprived installation and maintenance workers of proper compensation for overtime work and missed meal breaks.

U.S. District Judge Larry Alan Burns granted final approval of the class settlement, finding the deal “fair, reasonable and adequate to the class,” and dismissed the action with prejudice.
