PayPal Claims Ex-Exec Took Trade Secrets To Google

Law360, New York (May 26, 2011, 9:39 PM ET) -- Ebay Inc. unit PayPal Inc. sued Google Inc. on Thursday in California state court, alleging a former PayPal executive now at Google misappropriated the online payment broker's trade secrets to help Google develop its new point-of-sale system.

Osama Bedier, who was vice president for new ventures at PayPal, left for Google in January to become the search giant's vice president of payments. PayPal says in a complaint that Bedier took the company's proprietary information relating to its mobile-payment business.
