Google, Verizon Targeted Over Videophone IP

Law360, New York (May 27, 2011, 5:23 PM EDT) -- Visual Interactive Phone Concepts Inc. on Friday added search titan Google Inc. and Verizon Wireless to a list of companies it has sued over two patents covering an interactive mailbox facility system for videophones, lodging two new suits in Michigan federal court.

New York-based VIPC's complaints targeting Cellco Partnership, which does business as Verizon Wireless, and Google come on the heels of three suits VIPC filed Wednesday against AT&T Inc., Apple Inc. and U.S. Cellular Corp in the same court over the two patents.
