Vi-Jon Mouthwash Bottle Rips Off P&G, Suit Claims

Law360, New York (May 27, 2011, 4:44 PM EDT) -- Procter & Gamble Co. filed an intellectual property and unfair competition suit against Vi-Jon Inc. on Friday in Ohio, claiming the generic-products company makes a mouthwash whose packaging copies the look of P&G's Scope Outlast.

P&G contends Vi-Jon, a maker of generic products that compete with name brands, markets mouthwash with a bottle that matches the signature teardrop shape of Scope Outlast's bottle.
