Pfizer Ends Patent War Over Generic Neurontin

Law360, New York (May 31, 2011, 5:22 PM EDT) -- Pfizer Inc. on Tuesday dropped the remaining defendants from a long-running patent infringement suit in New Jersey over generic versions of the epilepsy drug Neurontin.

U.S. District Judge Faith S. Hochberg signed off on stipulations dismissing Purepac Pharmaceutical Co., Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. and their affiliates from the suit, bringing to a close Pfizer's battle against companies seeking to market their own versions of Neurontin, a drug used to prevent epileptic seizures.
